Upcoming works on rue Emile Metz

On June 9th 2026, the City of Luxembourg held an information meeting regarding upcoming works in rue Emile Metz.

These are large-scale works scheduled to begin in September 2026 and last for about 470 work days. The aim is to renovate all of the infrastructure (canalisations, road, water, gas, electricity, public lighting, etc.)

The area affected by the works runs from the crossing with rue d'Eich to rue des Sept Arpents. It will be divided into seven distinct sections.

Because of the street's layout, the City of Luxembourg cannot always guarantee traffic access to private properties. There will however always be an access for urgent services. For two of the seven sections, one traffic lane will be able to remain open at all times.

More details as well as the presentation given on June 9th are available on the VdL website: Eich: Rue Emile Metz
